Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
3D Modeling & Drafting: Create exact 3D models and detailed, production-ready 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
Design Development: Develop recent mechanical components, assemblies, and Specialized Purpose Machines (SPMs).
Analysis & Simulation: Perform FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations to validate designs, often using SolidWorks Simulation.
Documentation & Revisions: Maintain CAD libraries, engineering change notices (ECN), and BOM (Bill of Materials).
Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot design issues and ensure manufacturability (DFM).
Prototypes: Design and test functional prototypes. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Software: Expert proficiency in SolidWorks (solid modeling, surfacing, assemblies).
Manufacturing Knowledge: Experience in sheet metal design, machining, welding, or injection molding.
