The Panel Operator Turbine O&U; is responsible for secure, reliable, and productive operation of steam turbine generators and utility systems through PLC/DCS. The role involves turbine startups and shutdowns, emergency handling, alarm management, and continuous monitoring of operating parameters to ensure plant availability and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Steam Turbine Generator (STG) and utility systems via PLC/DCS.
Execute Emergency Shutdown Procedures (ESD) during abnormal situations.
Handle turbine and utility interlocks, tripping logic, and permissives.
Perform cold, warm, and hot startups of turbines.
Alarm identification, acknowledgment, and response through DCS.
Continuous vibration monitoring of steam turbine generators.
Maintain PLC/DCS operational logs, data trending, and shift reports.
Prepare and follow startup and shutdown checklists.
Operate and monitor cooling towers, chillers, and instrument air compressors.
Technical Competencies:
