They verify patient coverage, process cashless or reimbursement pre-authorizations, submit final hospital bills, and coordinate claim settlements with insurance providers to ensure financial recovery for the hospital.

Key Responsibilities

- Pre-Authorization &
- Verification:

Check patient insurance eligibility, secure initial cashless approvals, and manage admission documentation.

- Claim Processing &

- Submission:

Compile and submit discharge summaries, medical records, and itemized final bills to TPAs and insurance companies.

- Liaison &

- Coordination:

Act as the primary link between the hospital's billing/clinical departments and external insurance representatives.

- Query &

- Dispute Resolution:

Handle claim denials, deductions, or pending queries and counsel patients regarding balance payments or policy limits.

- Compliance &

- Reporting:

Maintain accurate settlement records, track claim aging reports, and follow hospital and accreditation guidelines (such as NABH)
