About the Role
We are a design-led manufacturer and exporter of hand-painted leather goods, with manufacturing operations in Kolkata and customers across the US, UK, Canada, Australia and Europe. We sell through e-commerce, wholesale and home shopping television.
Our IT team is small, which means this is a hands-on role with good exposure across the business. You will support employees across finance, sales, production, design and administration, and work across computers, networks, printers, business applications and day-to-day IT operations.
This role is well suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, working with users and learning new systems. You do not need to know all of our business applications already. What matters most is having strong IT fundamentals, a logical troubleshooting approach and the ability to learn quickly.
What You'll Do
IT Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide day-to-day IT support to employees across the organisation.
- Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, operating system, printer and peripheral issues.
- Diagnose and resolve basic network, Wi-Fi and connectivity problems.
- Support users with Windows, email, Microsoft Office and other workplace applications.
- Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers and other IT equipment.
- Coordinate with external vendors for issues requiring specialist support.
- Maintain proper records of IT issues, assets and resolutions.
Networking & Infrastructure
- Support LAN/Wi-Fi connectivity and basic network troubleshooting.
- Work with routers, switches, VPN and other network equipment.
- Troubleshoot connectivity, IP, DNS and related issues.
- Assist with maintaining office IT infrastructure.
- Support printers, scanners, barcode/label printers and other office devices.
Business Application Support You will work with several business applications used across Finance, Operations and other departments.
Prior experience with all of these is not required. Knowledge of any of the following will be an advantage, and the remaining systems can be learned on the job:
- Tally
- Microsoft 365
- Zoho
- QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- ProcessWare ERP
- Other ERP, accounting, inventory or business applications
The expectation is that you should be able to learn an unfamiliar system, understand how users work with it and gradually become a reliable first point of support. User Support & Training
- Help non-technical users resolve day-to-day IT issues.
- Explain technical issues in simple and practical language.
- Assist employees in using business applications and workplace technology.
- Prepare basic user guides or notes for recurring issues.
- Identify recurring problems and look for ways to resolve the root cause.
IT Assets & Vendor Coordination
- Maintain records of computers, laptops, printers and other IT assets.
- Assist with new employee system setup and employee exit-related IT requirements.
- Coordinate with IT vendors, AMC providers and service engineers.
- Track repairs, replacements and maintenance requirements.
- Assist in keeping software and hardware records updated.
What We Are Looking For
Must Have
- 24 years of hands-on experience in IT support / IT administration.
- Good practical knowledge of Windows and desktop/laptop troubleshooting.
- Strong fundamentals of LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP and basic networking.
- Ability to troubleshoot printers and other IT peripherals.
- Valuable understanding of hardware, operating systems and common IT issues.
- A structured approach to troubleshooting you should be able to identify a problem, test possible causes and arrive at a solution rather than guessing.
- Good communication skills and patience while supporting non-technical users.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Willingness and ability to learn new software and technologies.
Good to Have Knowledge or experience with any of the following will be an advantage:

- Active Directory
- Tally
- Zoho
- QuickBooks Online
- ERP / accounting / inventory software
- VPN
- Antivirus / endpoint security
- Backup systems
- CCTV / DVR
- IT asset management
- IT ticketing/helpdesk tools
- Basic Excel, including lookups and pivot tables
