Industrial Automation (Technical Lead)- 5A Notice - Immediate-30 Days

Location - Noida/Pune/Chennai/Hyderabad/Mumbai/Bengaluru

Mode - Hybrid (3 days in a week)

The Industrial Automation will lead the design, development, and delivery of Rockwell Automation–based industrial automation and MES solutions. This role combines strong hands on expertise with technical leadership, responsible for guiding project teams, ensuring solution quality, and enabling connected factory and Industry 4.0 initiatives across manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Solution Delivery

Lead end to end delivery of Rockwell Automation–based automation and MES projects.

Own solution design, technical decisions, and implementation approach for PLC/SCADA/MES systems.

Provide technical guidance to engineers and senior engineers across project lifecycles.

Ensure solutions meet performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements.

Rockwell Automation Development

Design and implement solutions using Allen Bradley PLCs (ControlLogix, CompactLogix).

Work extensively with Studio 5000 for PLC programming and configuration.

Configure and customize FactoryTalk View (SE/ME), alarms, and visualization layers.

Implement data acquisition and historian solutions using FactoryTalk Historian or equivalent.

MES & Industrial Integration

Integrate Rockwell automation systems with MES, ERP, and enterprise applications.

Implement communication using EtherNet/IP, OPC UA, Modbus, MQTT, and industrial protocols.

Support MES functionalities such as production tracking, downtime, quality, and performance monitoring.

Collaborate with IT, OT, and IoT teams to enable shop floor to cloud connectivity.

Commissioning & Support

Lead system testing, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and go live activities.

Troubleshoot complex automation, communication, and performance issues.

Ensure adherence to coding standards, validation guidelines, and documentation practices.

Support modernization and migration initiatives from legacy automation systems.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Mentoring

Act as the primary technical point of contact for project stakeholders and customers.

Mentor and coach team members on Rockwell best practices and industrial automation concepts.

Contribute to technical estimations, solutioning, and pre sales support when required.

Mandatory Skills

Core Rockwell Automation Skills

Strong hands on experience with Rockwell Automation platforms.

Expertise in Allen Bradley PLCs, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View SE/ME.

Experience with FactoryTalk Historian, alarms, and industrial data management.

Solid understanding of industrial control systems and commissioning activities.

MES & Integration

Experience with MES system integration and shop floor connectivity.

Knowledge of OPC UA, EtherNet/IP, Modbus, MQTT, and industrial networks.

Experience integrating automation systems with ERP or enterprise platforms.

IoT & Contemporary Architectures

Exposure to Industrial IoT (IIoT) and edge to cloud architectures.

Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure / AWS) for industrial integration use cases.

Understanding of ISA 95 / ISA 88 standards and manufacturing processes.
