About the Role

Chrisvin Geomet Services Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced Import / Export & Customs Clearance Executive to manage and coordinate the company's import, export, shipping and customs clearance activities.

The candidate will be responsible for handling end-to-end shipment documentation, customs clearance coordination, freight forwarder communication, shipment tracking and regulatory compliance to ensure smooth and timely movement of goods.

The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in Import / Export, Customs Clearance and Shipping operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Import & Export Operations

- Manage day-to-day import and export shipments from documentation to final delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers, customers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and transporters.
- Coordinate international shipments through air, sea and courier modes as required.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure timely movement of cargo.
- Track shipments and provide regular status updates to management.
- Coordinate pickup, transportation, customs clearance and final delivery.

2. Customs Clearance

- Coordinate with customs brokers/CHA for import and export customs clearance.
- Prepare and verify customs-related documents.
- Ensure accurate submission of required documents to customs authorities.
- Follow up on customs queries, assessments, examinations and clearance.
- Ensure shipments are cleared within the required timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies to resolve customs-related issues.

3. Documentation

Prepare, verify and maintain import/export documentation including:

- Commercial Invoice
- Packing List
- Purchase Order
- Shipping Bill
- Bill of Entry
- Bill of Lading / Airway Bill
- Certificate of Origin
- Delivery Order
- Import/Export licenses and supporting documents
- Insurance documents
- Freight and customs-related documents
- Other statutory and shipment-specific documentation

Ensure all documents are accurate, complete and available within required timelines.

4. Freight Forwarder & Shipping Coordination

- Coordinate with freight forwarders and shipping agents.




- Obtain freight quotations and compare available options when required.
- Coordinate shipment bookings and schedules.
- Follow up on shipping instructions and documentation.
- Monitor vessel/flight schedules and shipment movement.
- Coordinate with transporters for cargo pickup and delivery.
- Resolve delays, documentation issues and shipment discrepancies.

5. Compliance & Regulatory Requirements

- Ensure import/export activities comply with applicable customs and foreign trade regulations.
- Maintain proper records of import/export transactions.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and external consultants when required.
- Stay updated on changes in customs procedures, import/export regulations and documentation requirements.
- Ensure company records are maintained properly for audit and compliance purposes.

6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

- Maintain professional relationships with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters and suppliers.
- Coordinate with finance, procurement, operations and management teams.
- Follow up with vendors and service providers for pending documentation and shipments.
- Negotiate with logistics service providers when required.

7. Shipment Tracking & Reporting

- Maintain an updated shipment tracking system.
- Monitor shipment status from origin to final delivery.
- Prepare regular import/export and shipment status reports.
- Track customs clearance timelines and identify potential delays.
- Maintain records of logistics costs, freight charges and customs-related expenses.
- Escalate shipment delays or critical issues to management promptly.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Commerce or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in:
- Import & Export
- Customs Clearance
- Shipping & Logistics
- Freight Forwarding
- International Shipment Coordination
- Practical experience in handling import/export documentation.
- Experience coordinating with Customs Brokers / CHA, freight forwarders and shipping agents.
- Good knowledge of shipping and customs clearance procedures.
- Good command of MS Excel,



Word and email communication.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred:

- Import/export operations in a manufacturing or service organization.
- Customs clearance coordination.
- International courier and freight shipments.
- Air and sea shipment handling.
- Freight forwarder and shipping-line coordination.
- Experience with import/export compliance and documentation.
- Experience handling time-sensitive international shipments.

- Effective coordination with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
- Compliance with applicable import/export requirements.
- Logistics cost control.
- Accuracy of shipment tracking and reporting.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be a hands-on Import/Export professional with at least 2 years of practical experience in customs clearance, shipping and international logistics.

The candidate should be organized, detail-oriented and capable of independently coordinating with customs brokers, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, suppliers and internal teams.

Strong follow-up skills, documentation accuracy and the ability to resolve shipment-related issues quickly are essential for this position.

Experience Requirement

Mandatory: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Import / Export / Customs Clearance / Shipping / Logistics.

Candidates without practical experience in these areas may not be suitable for this position.
