A Hospital Pharmacist is a licensed healthcare professional who manages the dispensing, compounding, and strategic monitoring of medications within a clinical hospital setting.

Core Responsibilities

- Medication Dispensing &
- Preparation:

Accurately compound, prepare, and dispense oral, topical, and intravenous (IV) medications, including hazardous drugs and parenteral nutrition.

- Clinical Patient Care: Review physician orders for correct dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications. Participate in multidisciplinary ward rounds to advise medical teams on optimal pharmacotherapy.

- Formulary &

- Inventory Control:

Oversee the purchasing, storage, and inventory levels of pharmaceuticals, ensuring strict security and record-keeping for controlled substances.

- Patient &

- Staff Education:

Educate patients on medication management prior to discharge and advise physicians, nurses, and medical staff on proper drug administration techniques and drug safety protocols.

- Quality &

- Regulatory Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to hospital pharmacy standard operating procedures (SOPs), pharmacovigilance tracking,



and national drug storage regulations.

Key Qualifications &

- Requirements

- Education: Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution.

- Licensure: Registered Pharmacist (RPh) credential with the relevant state or national Pharmacy Council.

- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of clinical or hospital pharmacy experience (completion of a hospital pharmacy residency is preferred for clinical specialist roles).

Essential Skills

- Deep knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and drug-interaction monitoring.

- High attention to detail in prescription auditing and aseptic compounding.

- Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS), Electronic Health Records (EHR), and automated dispensing cabinets.

- Clear verbal communication and interprofessional collaboration skills.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
