Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled HMC Operator with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in operating Horizontal Machining Centre (HMC) machines. The candidate will be responsible for machine setup, component machining, quality inspection, and achieving production targets while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate HMC machines as per production requirements and job specifications.
- Set up machines, tools, fixtures, and workpieces accurately.
- Load and unload components and ensure proper clamping and alignment.
- Perform milling, drilling, tapping, boring, reaming, and other machining operations.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Set and adjust cutting tools, tool offsets, and machining parameters.
- Monitor machining operations to ensure dimensional accuracy and required surface finish.
- Inspect finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring product quality.
- Identify tool wear, machine abnormalities,



and quality issues and report them to the supervisor.
- Follow standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and cleanliness of the machine and work area.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 1–2 years of experience as an HMC Operator.
- Hands-on experience operating Horizontal Machining Centre machines.
- Basic knowledge of CNC/HMC machining processes, cutting tools, and fixtures.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and dimensional inspection.
- Basic understanding of tool offsets, work offsets, and machine settings.
- Valuable knowledge of shop-floor safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- ITI/Diploma in Machining, CNC, Fitter, Turner, or a related technical trade preferred.
- Candidates with experience in engineering/manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
- Good discipline, attendance, and commitment to production quality.
