A reputed CBSE school in Jammu is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of Department – Physical Education to lead its Physical Education & Sports Department. The candidate will be responsible for curriculum planning, sports activities, student development, competitions, departmental management, and overall promotion of sports and fitness within the school.

Position: Head of Department (Physical Education)

Responsibilities

- Plan, organize, and implement the Physical Education curriculum and sports activities.
- Lead and supervise the Physical Education and Sports Department.
- Prepare annual sports calendars, activity schedules, competitions, and events.
- Train and mentor students in various sports and physical activities.
- Identify and develop talented students for school, district, state, and national-level competitions.
- Organize Inter-House, Inter-School, and Annual Sports events.
- Maintain proper records of students’ participation, achievements, sports equipment, and inventory.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safe use of sports grounds, equipment, and facilities.

Coordinate with the Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, parents, and external sports organizations.
- Manage sports teams, selections, practices, fixtures, and tournament participation.
- Promote discipline, teamwork, leadership, fitness, and sportsmanship among students.
- Prepare reports regarding sports activities, student achievements, competitions, and departmental performance.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and safety guidelines during all sports activities.





Conduct regular fitness activities and encourage students to maintain a healthy and active lifestyle. Manage and supervise sports academy/coaching activities, including schedules and student participation.
- Perform other duties related to Physical Education and Sports as assigned by the school management.
