- Operate HMC machines as per production plans and work instructions.
- Read and understand engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and machining requirements.
- Load and unload components correctly and safely.
- Set workpieces, fixtures, cutting tools, and tool offsets as per the machining requirements.
- Operate CNC/HMC programs and make approved offset corrections when required.
- Check tool condition and replace worn or damaged cutting tools.
- Perform in-process inspection using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Bore Gauge, Height Gauge, and other measuring instruments.
- Ensure components are manufactured within specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Identify and report abnormal machine conditions, tool wear, vibration, noise, or breakdowns.
- Maintain proper machine cleanliness, lubrication, and basic housekeeping.
- Follow the production schedule and achieve daily production targets.
- Maintain proper identification and traceability of components and batches.
- Record production quantities, rejection, rework, downtime, and other relevant information.
- Follow approved process sheets, inspection standards, and quality procedures.
- Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Tool Room, and Maintenance departments whenever required.
- Follow 5S, safety procedures, PPE requirements,
and company rules.
- Report quality issues, machine problems, and unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor.
- Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality, and machine efficiency.
- Perform any other production-related duties assigned by the supervisor or management.
2. Required Technical Skills
- Positive knowledge of HMC/CNC machine operation.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machining processes and cutting tools.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and GD&T; basics.
- Knowledge of work holding, fixtures, tool setting, and tool offsets.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Basic understanding of CNC programs and G/M codes.
- Ability to identify machining defects and take appropriate corrective action.
- Knowledge of cutting parameters such as RPM, feed, and depth of cut.
- Good understanding of machine safety and workplace safety practices.
ITI – Machinist / Turner / Fitter or equivalent technical qualification. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,897.42 per month
