Role Description The Head of Recruitment is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for leading and scaling HummingBird’s end-to-end hiring strategy across all talent segments. This role oversees the entire recruitment lifecycle, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, selection, and offer management, while ensuring a consistent, high-quality candidate experience.

The Head of Recruitment will collaborate with business leaders to define hiring needs, design recruitment campaigns, and build strong employer branding initiatives aligned with the company’s growth plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing and mentoring the recruitment team,



implementing data-driven recruitment processes, leveraging HummingBird’s AI platform for candidate assessment, and driving graduate and early talent programs. The role also focuses on building recruitment dashboards, monitoring key hiring metrics, and continuously improving recruitment operations, policies, and compliance standards.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated expertise in Hiring and Recruiting, with experience managing end-to-end recruitment for diverse roles and levels.
- Strong Employer Branding capabilities, including designing and executing talent attraction campaigns and enhancing candidate experience.
- Solid Interviewing skills, with the ability to define structured interview processes and train hiring teams on assessment best practices.
- Experience in Graduate Recruitment, including campus engagement, internship programs, and early career talent pipelines.
- Proven experience leading recruitment teams in a fast-growing or tech-focused environment, preferably within HR tech or SaaS.
- Ability to use data and analytics to guide recruitment decisions, track hiring performance, and optimize processes.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively with executives and hiring managers.
- Familiarity with ATS/VMS systems and modern recruitment technologies; experience with AI-driven recruitment platforms is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
