About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically strong DTP Operator – Packaging to join our design and packaging team. The role will be responsible for converting approved packaging designs into accurate, print-ready artwork across multiple SKUs and packaging formats.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of packaging artwork, pre-press processes, printing specifications, dielines, colour management and production requirements. You will work closely with the Design, Brand, Packaging, Marketing, Procurement and Printing/Vendor teams to ensure artwork is executed accurately and delivered within timelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesPackaging Artwork & Execution

- Adapt approved packaging designs across different SKUs, flavours, pack sizes and formats.
- Prepare final artwork for pouches, jars, cartons, labels, sachets, boxes and other packaging formats.
- Work accurately on packaging dielines and ensure all design elements are positioned correctly.
- Make artwork changes based on approved briefs and ensure all revisions are accurately incorporated.
- Maintain consistency of branding, typography, layouts and visual elements across all packaging.

Pre-Press & Print Production
- Prepare print-ready artwork files as per printer and production specifications.
- Conduct detailed pre-flight checks for:
- Bleed and trim
- Dielines
- Fonts and outlines
- Image resolution
- CMYK/RGB colour settings
- Pantone colours
- Overprint and trapping
- Cut/fold areas
- Safety margins
- Ensure artwork is technically suitable for the selected printing process.
- Coordinate with printers and packaging vendors to resolve artwork and pre-press issues.
- Review printer proofs and incorporate approved corrections before final production.





Regulatory & Content Accuracy
- Ensure all packaging information is placed correctly, including:
- Ingredients
- Nutrition information
- MRP
- Net quantity
- Batch/lot information
- Manufacturing details
- Expiry/best-before information
- Barcodes and QR codes
- Regulatory declarations
- Product claims and mandatory information
- Cross-check artwork against the approved master copy before sending files for production.
- Ensure there are no spelling, alignment, content or version-control errors.

Vendor & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with packaging printers, converters and other external vendors.
- Communicate technical artwork requirements clearly to vendors.
- Review vendor feedback and make necessary technical corrections.
- Coordinate with designers, brand managers and packaging teams to ensure timely artwork closure.
- Follow up on proofs, approvals and production timelines.

File & Version Management
- Maintain organised artwork folders and ensure proper naming/version control.
- Maintain master artwork files and final print-ready files.
- Ensure outdated artwork is not accidentally released for production.
- Maintain an archive of approved artwork and production versions.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of packaging artwork and pre-press processes.
- Excellent command of Adobe Illustrator.
- Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
- Strong understanding of dielines, bleeds, trims, colour separations, Pantone, CMYK, overprint and trapping.




- Understanding of different packaging and printing processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good understanding of typography, fonts and image resolution.
- Strong organisational and file-management skills.
- Ability to work on multiple SKUs and projects simultaneously.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work under tight production deadlines.

Preferred Experience Candidates with experience in FMCG, food & beverage, nutraceuticals, nutrition, cosmetics, personal care or D2C brands will be preferred.

Experience working directly with packaging printers, converters and production vendors will be an added advantage.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma/Degree in Graphic Design, Printing Technology, DTP, Visual Communication or a related field.
- Relevant qualified experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
