We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Geologist to join our team and play a pivotal role in coal exploration, resource assessment, and mine planning.

Designation: Geologist (Coal)

Qualifications: M.Sc./M.Tech in Geology, Applied Geology, or Mineral Exploration from a reputed university.

Work Experience: 5-6 years of experience in coal exploration, geological mapping, geophysical survey interpretation, geochemical analysis, resource estimation, and mine planning, with at least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in geological modeling software (AutoCAD/Minex/QGIS).

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed geological mapping and geophysical surveys to identify and assess coal deposits.
- Perform sedimentary basin analysis, stratigraphy interpretation, and geochemical assessments for coal resource evaluation.
- Apply geological modeling tools (AutoCAD/Minex) for subsurface analysis, coal seam correlation, and resource estimation.
- Lead and manage field teams in drilling operations, core logging, sampling, and coal quality testing.
- Prepare comprehensive geological reports with insights for mine planning, feasibility studies, and extraction strategies.
- Collaborate with mining engineers, production teams, and regulatory bodies to optimize mining operations.
- Stay updated with the latest technological advancements, coal exploration techniques, and regulatory changes.




- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices.
- Must be aware of different coordinate systems, capable of geo-referencing for both vector and raster components through GIS and CAD platforms.
- Import existing infrastructure/project featuresfrom SOI toposheet/cadastral plan/SSI stock map to KML files through GIS platforms.

Skills & Competencies Required:

- Expertise in coal exploration, geological mapping, and resource estimation.
- Strong knowledge of coal geology, basin analysis, and coal formation processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Minex for geological modeling and coal resource assessment.
- Understanding of coal quality analysis, sampling techniques, and laboratory testing methods.
- Experience in leading multi-disciplinary field teams and managing exploration projects.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and permitting processes for coal mining operations.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to convey technical insights to diverse stakeholders.
- Effectively collaborate as a team member while adhering to the organizational reporting structure.
