Role Description

Senior manager, Manager- 2 position required, more than 10 to 15 years of experience in handling General Construction Equipment.

This is a full-time, on-site General Construction Equipment Senior position based in Chennai. The role involves overseeing daily operations of construction equipment, including allocation, scheduling, and monitoring utilization across projects. The person in this role will supervise inspection, maintenance, and repairs to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with company standards.

They will coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and the service team to address equipment needs, minimize downtime, and optimize fleet performance.





Responsibilities also include guiding junior staff, maintaining accurate records of equipment status and service history, supporting cost control and efficiency initiatives, and contributing to continuous improvement of operational processes.

Qualifications

- Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving and general construction equipment, including inspection, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting skills.
- Experience in equipment operations management, including fleet planning, scheduling, and coordination with project teams.
- Skills in safety management and compliance, with the ability to implement and monitor safe work practices and regulatory requirements.
- Operational and administrative skills, including recordkeeping, reporting, and use of basic computer applications or equipment management systems.
- Effective communication and team leadership skills to guide technicians and operators, liaise with stakeholders, and resolve operational issues.
- Previous experience in construction equipment rental or construction project environments, preferably in a supervisory or senior role.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in mechanical engineering, construction equipment technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in office in Chennai, adapt to dynamic project needs, and commit to full-time employment with flexible working hours when required.
