Summary We are looking for a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to help build and scale a modern enterprise data platform supporting Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Middle Office Operations, and Finance functions. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about data engineering, AI-enabled development, cloud platforms, and building scalable data products that power analytics, reporting, APIs, and intelligent agent workflows.

Responsibilities

- Design and build scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines for critical enterprise data sources, including near real-time processing where required.
- Develop and optimize multi-layered data architectures comprising Raw, Refined, and Curated data layers.
- Build semantic data products, metric definitions, and curated datasets to support self-service analytics and enterprise reporting.
- Develop and maintain APIs using REST and GraphQL to enable seamless data consumption across applications and platforms.
- Design event-driven architectures and data products that support AI-powered applications and agentic workflows.
- Build and support microservices-based solutions using modern cloud-native technologies.
- Analyze and improve existing datasets, integrations,



and data pipelines for scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Ensure high standards of data quality, governance, documentation, testing, and change management throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in production support activities, monitoring, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations.

Requirements

- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Backend Engineering roles.
- Strong expertise in building end-to-end data pipelines, APIs, and enterprise data products.
- Hands-on experience with GraphQL APIs, REST APIs, React Frontend Integration, Microservices, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Robust programming skills in Python and Java within production environments.
- Experience leveraging AI-powered development tools such as Codex, Claude, Cursor, and other frontier-model ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of event-driven architecture, distributed systems, and AI/agent workflow enablement.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern data ecosystems.
- Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, data transformations, and performance optimization.
- Experience with CI/CD processes, code reviews, testing, approvals, and enterprise SDLC best practices.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
