About the Role:
The Fire Safety Officer will be responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of all fire safety procedures and emergency response plans in SFL Academies, Event/Tournament Venues etc. The incumbent will ensure compliance with local and national fire regulations, conduct regular fire drills, and train staff and customers in fire prevention and emergency evacuation procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following -
- Fire Safety Planning & Compliance: Develop and maintain fire safety and emergency response plans in line with local and national regulations; ensure all fire safety systems are regularly inspected and operational at all SFL venues. Check if the venues have Fire NOC from competent/government authorities.
- Training: Conduct fire safety trainings and fire drills and provide ongoing training to staff on fire prevention, emergency procedures, and equipment usage.
- Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation: Perform regular fire hazard assessments, implement corrective actions, and investigate incidents to improve safety protocols.
- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with Operations,
Administration & Safeguarding & Wellness teams, to integrate fire safety across all operations.
- External Stakeholder Management: Work with fire authorities and inspectors to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Monitor adherence to fire safety and health regulations; collaborate with relevant internal teams and update policies as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Fire Safety, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Fire Safety or Emergency Management, preferably in hospitality or facilities management
- In-depth knowledge of Fire Safety regulations and Emergency Response Protocols
- Solid leadership and training & facilitation skills
- Excellent communication and report-writing abilities
- Experience coordinating with regulatory bodies and internal departments
- Proficiency in Safety Management systems and Fire Safety Equipment Maintenance
- Certification & Licence in Fire Safety Management from a recognized authority like NEBOSH
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
