Key Responsibilities
- Ensure alignment of accounting and financial processes with SOPs and internal cost controls.
- Create and share financial reports, MIS, projections, and other data as and when required by stakeholders.
- Act as SPOC for investors, founders, VCFO, Banks, and auditors for all finance, legal, and secretarial coordination.
- Verify and validate all GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and MCA related workings and filings.
- Review and record all agreements, NDAs, and letters issued by the company.
- Check and approve employee reimbursements and financial transactions as per internal SOPs and cost controls, in compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile and check MIS, accounting data, filings, and transactions across bank statements, cards, reimbursements, and wallets/ledgers.
- Ensure record-keeping of all financial, legal, and secretarial data in audit-ready format on drive.
- Perform internal audit and periodic reviews to adopt financial best practices.
- Support statutory, tax, and internal audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor queries, and ensuring timely closure of audit observations.
- Assist in preparation of annual budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analysis (budget vs. actuals) for management review.
- Monitor and Manage day-to-day cash flow, banking operations, and working capital to ensure smooth business operations and timely vendor/statutory payments.
- Coordinate ROC compliances, board and shareholder meeting documentation, statutory registers, and secretarial filings with company secretary/legal counsel.
- Track and ensure timely renewal of licenses, registrations,
insurance policies, and other statutory/compliance documents.
- Support fundraising, due diligence, and investor reporting requirements, including data room preparation and cap table coordination.
- Liaise with external consultants (tax, legal, secretarial, payroll) and ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of their services.
- Maintain confidentiality and data security of all financial, legal, and investor-related information.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws, labour laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements, and proactively flag impact on company processes.
- Drive process improvements and automation in accounting, reporting, and compliance workflows to improve accuracy and turnaround time.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (M.Com/MBA-Finance/CA-Inter/CMA-Inter preferred).
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial compliance, or finance operations, preferably in a startup, SME, or professional services workplace.
- Working knowledge of Indian statutory compliance — GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and MCA/ROC filings.
- Exposure to company secretarial coordination, board documentation,
and statutory registers is an added advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Proficiency in accounting/ERP software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar) and advanced MS Excel/Google Sheets skills.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, and payroll compliance portals, and MCA filing processes.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with strong documentation and record-keeping discipline.
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (founders, investors, auditors, consultants) with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and flag risks proactively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder coordination.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict statutory and internal deadlines.
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive financial and legal information.

Pay: Up to ₹800,000.00 per year
