Hyderabad The Finance Officer role at insurancepe is a full time, on-site position based in Hyderabad.

The Finance

Officer will manage day-to-day financial operations, including preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, monitoring cash flows, and supporting budgeting activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with financial reporting to management, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and IRDAI and RBI regulatory requirements. The role involves working closely with operations and management teams to provide financial insights that support decision-making and improve cost efficiency.

Officer will also help streamline financial processes, support audits, and contribute to risk management and planning related to the company’s insurance services.

:

As insurancepe’s Finance Officer, you will:

- Be responsible for Accounts, Books & journals, vouchers and its entries
- Resolve account payable and receivable issues or queries.
- Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
- Administer payroll and control income/expenditures.
- Assist in financial and tax audits, and general ledger preparation.
- Prepare tax returns and corporate reporting requirements.
- Meeting and dealing with banks, auditors etc. as per the tasks’ requirements
- Prepare and process commission invoices based on statements received from insurance companies
- Analyse and reconcile insurer-wise commission statements, receivables, and outstanding balances to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Maintain and update books of accounts, including journal entries,



ledger scrutiny and account reconciliations.
- Process vendor payments and ensure timely settlement of operational expenses in accordance with company policies.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate financial records.
- Handle statutory compliance activities, including GST, TDS, professional tax return preparation and filing, as well as IRDAI’s compliance-related reporting.
- Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closing activities, including account reviews, reconciliations and reporting.
- Coordinate with internal teams, insurers, and vendors to resolve financial discrepancies and ensure smooth accounting operations.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Finance with hands-on experience in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting.
- Effective Communication skills to present financial information clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally) and MS Excel
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, GST, TDS and compliance requirements within the insurance or financial services sector.
- High attention to detail.
- Fluent in English and Telugu. Hindi skills would be a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
