Role Description The Field Officer role at Svatantra Microfin Limited is a full time, on-site position based in Kota.

The Field

Officer will visit villages and local communities to identify potential clients, explain loan products, and support the loan application and documentation process. The role includes conducting group meetings, verifying client information, facilitating loan disbursement, and monitoring timely repayments.

Officers will maintain accurate records, prepare basic reports, and ensure adherence to company policies and responsible lending practices.



The position also involves building strong relationships with clients, providing financial literacy guidance, and coordinating with branch staff to meet portfolio quality and outreach targets.

Qualifications

- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with rural communities; strong interpersonal skills and client service orientation.
- Basic numerical skills and comfort handling cash, repayments, and simple financial calculations.
- Organizational skills for managing documentation, maintaining records, and following structured processes.
- Willingness to travel locally within Kota and nearby areas, including regular field visits to villages.
- Minimum educational qualification of higher secondary (12th standard) or equivalent; graduate degree is an advantage.
- Knowledge of local language(s) and familiarity with the socio-economic context of rural areas.
- Integrity, reliability, and commitment to ethical, client-centric microfinance practices.
- Basic familiarity with smartphones or digital tools for data entry and communication; prior microfinance or fieldwork experience is preferred.
