Factory Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production and adherence to quality standards. Their duties include managing production schedules, conducting quality tests on raw materials and finished products, coordinating logistics for incoming and outgoing materials, and supervising staff to maintain a smooth workflow. They also ensure compliance with safety regulations, handle inventory management, and prepare daily reports for management.
Overall, they play a key role in ensuring the factory runs efficiently and meets production goals.
Responsibilities
- Check if all the necessary paperwork such as invoice, delivery note and weight bridge receipt is available with inbound material.
- Maintain quality test report by random sampling of incoming material to maintain quality standards of the company.
- Maintain quality test report of each production batch to match as per expected standard.
- Quality testing and documentation of final product before dispatch to make sure product is as per required quality standard.
- Manage existing orders to make sure timely dispatch of materials.
- Maintain a schedule calendar for planning of incoming and outgoing trucks with the head office.
- Handling logistics, production and operations to ensure a smooth supply chain management system.
- Maintaining Attendance of labourers and creating a “Daily Work Report” to be sent to the head office.
- Overseeing special projects and tracking progress towards company goals.
- Maintaining material stock book to record raw material and finished products.
Job Requirements
- Minimum academic qualification should be a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minium experience of 3 years as a factory supervisor or equivalent position.
- A high level of energy, honesty, commitment and accountability is essential and required.
- A go-getter,
who can set targets and work within the parameters of the company to achieve them.
- Valuable oral and written communication skills and a working knowledge of computers.
- Have a strong business sense with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines. (Organizational Skills)
