Overview:

The ETL/Data Testing role involves the validation of data pipelines and processes that extract, transform, and load data.

As a ETL Test Engineer, you must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong analytical, problem solving, and prioritization skills. You should also be able to handle multiple tasks in a quick-paced, deadline-driven environment, both independently and as part of a team.

Job Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and Data Warehouse solutions.
- Validate data movement from source systems to target databases/data warehouses.
- Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for ETL workflows.
- Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks.




- Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification and analysis.
- Validate transformations, mappings, business rules, and data accuracy.
- Work with Azure-based data solutions such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
- Identify, log, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with development teams.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test estimation, and defect triage meetings.
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, consistency, and performance of ETL pipelines.

Mandatory Skills

- 5+ years of ETL Testing experience.
- Strong expertise in DWH Testing concepts.
- Excellent hands-on experience with SQL and Advanced SQL queries.
- Good understanding of Data Modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Experience in validating large datasets.
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake).
- Experience with defect management and test management tools.

Preferred Skills

- Python scripting for test automation and data validation.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Exposure to BI reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of cloud data migration projects.
