- Coordinate with Project Management Consultants (PMC), contractors, and subcontractors to ensure EHS compliance across all construction activities
- Implement contractor workmen safety programs, including Safety Passport systems, onboarding, training, and performance audits
- Enforce permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities: height work, hot work, confined space entry, excavation, heavy lifting, and electrical installations
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with approved Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Conduct daily safety talks with contractor teams before initiating physical execution activities
4. Risk Assessment &
- Hazard Control
- Lead comprehensive risk assessments including HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment), JSA (Job Safety Analysis),
and HAZOP studies for all processes and equipment
- Develop and implement mitigation measures for identified hazards, with particular focus on construction-phase risks and operational hazards post-handover
- Implement a robust work permit system covering all high-risk activities
- Ensure proper LOTO (Lock-out/Tag-out) procedures are established and enforced
5.
Safety
Culture &
- Training
- Build a proactive safety culture through visible leadership engagement and behavior-based safety initiatives from the project's inception
- Develop and deliver EHS inductions for all employees, contractors, subcontractors, and visitors
