Electrical Engineer

Role

We are looking for Electrical Engineers to support electrical building services design and coordination for UK-based projects. Candidates should have good knowledge of electrical systems, BIM coordination and UK design standards, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and coordinate electrical layouts, Revit MEP models and AutoCAD drawings.
- Design and coordinate LV distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, small power, containment and earthing/bonding systems.
- Support fire alarm, data/ELV and BMS coordination.
- Prepare single-line diagrams, load schedules, cable calculations, lighting calculations and schematics.
- Coordinate electrical services with Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and BIM teams.
- Support clash detection, model reviews, QA/QC and technical documentation.
- Review drawings and models and incorporate design and coordination comments.
- Support project deliverables from concept through technical design, tender and construction stages.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Good hands-on experience in Revit MEP and AutoCAD.




- Solid understanding of electrical building services and LV distribution systems.
- Experience with DIALux, Relux, Amtech/Trimble ProDesign, ElectricalOM, ETAP or similar software.
- Knowledge of IET Wiring Regulations BS 7671 and UK electrical design practices.
- Understanding of lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm, containment and electrical coordination.
- Ability to prepare or review cable sizing, voltage drop, fault level and lighting calculations.
- Knowledge of Navisworks and BIM coordination workflows is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

- Previous UK project experience is a major advantage.
- Gulf electrical building services experience is preferred.
- Experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, education or industrial projects is beneficial.
- Knowledge of UK Building Regulations Part L and Part B is an added advantage.
