Role Description The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at The Manohar Hyderabad in Hyderabad. This role oversees daily hotel operations across front office, guest services, and coordination with housekeeping and food & beverage teams to ensure smooth functioning and exceptional guest experiences.

The Duty

Manager handles guest inquiries and complaints, manages room allocation and overbooking situations, monitors lobby and public areas, and ensures adherence to hotel policies and service standards. The role includes supervising and guiding team members on shift, coordinating with other departments for events and VIP arrivals, and maintaining accurate reports and handovers.

Manager also supports safety and security procedures, responds to emergencies, and helps implement operational improvements and service initiatives.

Qualifications

- Strong hotel operations and front office management skills, including guest relations, check-in/check-out processes, and lobby supervision.
- Ability to lead and motivate teams, manage shifts, delegate tasks effectively, and provide explicit direction and support to staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for handling guests, resolving complaints, coordinating with internal departments, and working with diverse teams.
- Sound problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure and manage emergencies.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in reporting, handovers, and adherence to hotel standards and procedures.
- Familiarity with hotel property management systems, basic computer skills, and comfort with standard office and reservation software.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry best practices, safety and security protocols, and local regulations relevant to hotel operations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or Duty Manager role in a hotel or hospitality environment preferred.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is an advantage.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by hotel operations.
