ROLE OVERVIEW

Gsource is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and manage Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MEPF) design projects for residential and commercial buildings. This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated professional to not only deliver high-quality engineering designs but also build and scale the MEP engineering design team from the ground up.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead end-to-end MEPF design for residential and commercial building projects.

Develop and review detailed engineering designs, drawings, and specifications across all four trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection).

Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders for integrated design solutions.

Perform design calculations, system sizing, and technical analysis.

Conduct design reviews, quality checks, and value engineering.

Manage project timelines, deliverables, and client communication.

Establish and standardize design processes, workflows, and documentation practices.

Take ownership of building and scaling the MEP design team, including hiring, mentoring, and training engineers.

Act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for all MEPF-related activities.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Expertise in MEPF design for residential and commercial projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD,



Revit MEP, and relevant engineering tools like HAP, TRACE, eQUEST, DIALux, Relux, ETAP, EPLAN, etc.

In-depth knowledge of building codes and standards like ASHRAE, SMACNA, AMCA, IPC, UPC, NSF, NFPA, NEC, IEEE, etc.

Proven ability to independently manage multidisciplinary projects.

Strong leadership capability with experience or interest in team building.

Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Experience

10+ years of professional engineering design experience.

Familiarity with BIM workflows and tools like Navisworks.

Prior experience in setting up or scaling engineering teams.

Exposure to international projects (US, UK, Middle East, etc.).
