About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer / Consultant to join our expanding Data & Analytics practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise-scale data engineering solutions across modern cloud and data platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that involve building scalable data pipelines, implementing modern data architectures, and integrating diverse data sources to support advanced analytics and business intelligence initiatives.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with solution architects, business stakeholders, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to develop robust data solutions. Expertise in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineering, Databricks, PySpark, Apache Spark, Python, SQL, and cloud data platforms is essential. This position is based in Bengaluru, Pune, or Hyderabad, with immediate joiners preferred, and offers a full-time employment opportunity.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 4 years of qualified experience in data engineering or related roles is required.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified:



Fabric Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, or Databricks Certified Data Engineer are highly desirable. Candidates with experience in designing end-to-end enterprise data platforms, migrating traditional data workloads to cloud solutions, and implementing data governance and security practices will be preferred.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines to support enterprise data platforms and analytics initiatives.
- Develop data engineering solutions utilizing Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, PySpark, Spark SQL, and Python to process structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
- Build and optimize data pipelines for diverse data sources including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, APIs, cloud storage, ERP systems, and SaaS applications.
- Implement modern data architectures such as Medallion Architecture, Lakehouse, and Data Warehouse models to ensure efficient data management and retrieval.
- Work with Microsoft Fabric components like Fabric Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Dataflows, and Notebooks to create integrated data solutions.
- Develop and optimize Databricks notebooks, Spark jobs, Delta Lake pipelines, and Databricks workflows for performance and cost efficiency.
- Design and implement robust data models, data lakes, data warehouses, and Lakehouse solutions aligned with business needs.
- Ensure data quality, validation, monitoring, governance, security, and compliance across all data pipelines and platforms.




- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and Git to streamline deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement performance improvements to maintain system stability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, data scientists, and BI teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews, documentation, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to promote best practices within the team.
- Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
