Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: We are seeking a MATLAB Developer to support development and maintenance of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow models for BCM application software and automotive body electronics features. This role involves model implementation, simulation, basic debugging, documentation, auto-code generation support, and collaboration with senior engineers and cross-functional teams.
Roles & Responsibilities: -Develop and update MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow models for BCM application software and automotive body electronics features under guidance.
-Understand system and software requirements and implement assigned model components, control logic, state machines, and reusable subsystems.
-Support implementation of BCM functions such as lighting, wiper, washer, central locking, power windows, mirrors, horn, and body access features using MATLAB and Simulink.
-Perform model simulation, basic debugging, unit checks, and functional verification using Model-in-the-Loop and Software-in-the-Loop environments.
-Support auto-code generation activities and coordinate with senior engineers for integration and issue analysis.
-Prepare and update model documentation,
design notes, interface details, signal mapping, and verification evidence as per project needs.
-Follow modelling guidelines, naming conventions, configuration management practices, and customer-specific engineering expectations.
Skilled & Technical Skills: -Overall 3 to 5 years of experience in automotive embedded software development, MATLAB/Simulink model-based development, or control software development.
-Hands-on or working experience in MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, model development, model simulation, and basic model debugging.
-Experience in implementing control logic, state machines, reusable subsystems, signal routing, model interfaces, and basic data dictionary usage.
-Basic understanding of automotive ECU software development lifecycle, preferably for BCM, body electronics, chassis, powertrain, ADAS, or similar vehicle domains.
-Working knowledge of Model-in-the-Loop, Software-in-the-Loop, unit checks, simulation-based verification, and requirement-based implementation.
-Familiarity with automatic code generation, Embedded Coder, TargetLink, MISRA C expectations, and generated code integration is desirable.
-Basic knowledge of CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, UDS diagnostics, ECU communication concepts, vehicle signals, and signal database usage.
-Exposure to requirements management, configuration management, defect lifecycle, and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, DOORS, Polarion, Git, or SVN.
Additional Information: -Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or any related stream.
