Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Manager - Costing & Estimation to lead accurate project costing, techno-commercial estimation, BOQ review, tender evaluation, and cost control for BMU, facade-access, structural steel, mechanical, and engineering projects. The candidate should combine strong engineering knowledge with commercial judgment and cross-functional coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Study tender documents, drawings, specifications, BOQs, and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates covering raw materials, bought-out items, fabrication, machining, surface treatment, electrical and control components, labour, packing, transportation, installation, testing, overheads, contingencies, and margins.
- Develop quantity take-offs and validate BOQs against drawings and technical specifications.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors in coordination with Purchase.
- Prepare techno-commercial offers, rate analyses, tender submissions, cost sheets, and management approval summaries.
- Identify scope gaps, exclusions, assumptions, risks, and opportunities before quotation submission.
- Coordinate with Sales, Design, Production, Purchase, Projects, Installation, and Finance to ensure complete and competitive estimates.
- Maintain costing databases, standard rates, productivity norms, vendor benchmarks, and historical project cost records.
- Compare estimated costs with actual project costs and perform variance analysis to improve future estimates.
- Support value engineering and cost optimisation without compromising safety, quality, performance, or statutory requirements.




- Participate in technical and commercial discussions with clients, consultants, vendors, and internal teams.
- Establish estimation processes, review controls, turnaround-time targets, and MIS reports.
- Mentor estimation engineers and ensure accuracy, traceability, and timely completion of quotations.

Required Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in costing and estimation for engineered-to-order products, capital equipment, structural steel, fabrication, mechanical systems, construction, facade access, elevators, cranes, or similar project-based industries.
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings, fabrication processes, material grades, manufacturing methods, and project execution costs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation/costing tools; experience with ERP systems and AutoCAD/drawing review is preferred.
- Working knowledge of commercial terms, taxes, logistics, subcontracting, and tendering practices.
- Solid analytical, negotiation, communication, documentation, and team-management skills.

Preferred Profile
- Experience in BMUs, facade-access systems, structural steel, material-handling equipment, cranes, elevators, or custom mechanical equipment.
- Exposure to international projects, consultant specifications, and applicable engineering/safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
