Costing & MIS Executive

Role Overview

We are looking for a Costing & MIS Executive to manage product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, MIS reporting, pricing support, and cost control activities for wire and cable products. The role will involve close coordination with Production, Purchase, Sales, Stores, and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely costing data.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare product costing and detailed cost sheets for wire and cable products.

Calculate and update raw material costs, including Copper, Aluminium, PVC, XLPE, FRLS, Armour, Packaging, and other materials.

Prepare, maintain, and update Bill of Materials (BOM) for various products.

Analyze manufacturing costs covering material, labour, and manufacturing overheads.

Monitor daily fluctuations in Copper and Aluminium prices and incorporate changes into product costing.

Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Sales, Stores, and Finance departments for cost-related information and data.

Prepare quotations and pricing support for the Sales team based on accurate product costing.

Conduct standard cost vs. actual cost variance analysis and identify major cost deviations.

Prepare and maintain product-wise profitability and margin reports.

Verify inventory valuation, material consumption, and cost records.





Assist in preparation of monthly MIS reports, budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control analysis.

Ensure timely and accurate updating of costing data in ERP systems and Excel.

Support management with cost analysis and other financial/MIS reports as required.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of manufacturing/product costing.

Understanding of BOM, raw material consumption, and production processes.

Valuable knowledge of Copper and Aluminium costing and price fluctuation impact.

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems.

Knowledge of variance analysis, inventory valuation, and profitability analysis.

Strong analytical and numerical skills.

Good coordination and communication skills.

Ability to work with cross-functional teams and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Experience

Experience in wire & cable, electrical, manufacturing, or similar industries will be preferred.

Candidates with experience in costing, MIS, production costing, or management accounting will be considered.

Education

Graduate in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Candidates with CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA Finance, or relevant costing experience may be preferred.Role & responsibilities
