Job Overview

We are looking for a Cosmetic Chemist – Quality & Manufacturing to oversee cosmetic product quality, manufacturing processes, production readiness, and supplier/factory operations. The role will be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured according to approved formulations, quality specifications, GMP requirements, and established manufacturing standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee cosmetic manufacturing activities to ensure products meet approved quality and formulation requirements.
- Review cosmetic formulations, raw materials, manufacturing procedures, batch records, and product specifications before production.
- Verify raw material and packaging component availability to support uninterrupted manufacturing.
- Review and approve production batches, pilot batches, scale-up trials, filling trials, and manufacturing processes.
- Support CAPA, root-cause analysis, process improvement, and preventive quality activities.
- Review production yields, material losses, rework, damaged components, and manufacturing efficiency.
- Approve, reject, quarantine, or recommend rework of finished products based on quality results.
- Coordinate with contract manufacturers and factory teams to resolve technical, quality, and production issues.
- Maintain accurate batch documentation, technical records, specifications, and quality reports.
- Support factory inspections, production audits, manufacturing trials, and supplier evaluations.
- Identify potential quality and manufacturing risks and communicate them to relevant internal teams.
- Work closely with R&D;, QA/QC, Production, Regulatory, Packaging, Procurement,



and Contract Manufacturing teams to ensure successful product launches and consistent production quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in cosmetic formulation, cosmetic manufacturing, QA/QC, or production quality.
- Robust understanding of cosmetic ingredients, emulsions, creams, lotions, gels, shampoos, cleansers, serums, and other personal-care products.
- Knowledge of GMP, batch manufacturing, quality control, stability testing, specifications, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with cosmetic production equipment, filling operations, packaging, and scale-up processes.
- Ability to analyze quality issues and conduct root-cause investigations, deviation investigations, OOS investigations, and CAPA.
- Strong technical documentation, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with contract manufacturers or overseas cosmetic factories is preferred.
- Willingness to travel to South Korea approximately six times per year for factory inspections, production trials, and quality assessments.
- Valid passport and ability to meet applicable visa and international travel requirements.

Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹450,000.00 per year
