We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and data migration solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs while ensuring high performance, security, reliability, and seamless data migration across platforms.

This role requires hands-on technical leadership in backend architecture, API development, database performance tuning, and enterprise-scale migration initiatives.

Responsibilities Backend Application Development

- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade RESTful APIs using Spring Boot.
- Develop scalable microservices and backend components supporting high-volume applications.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Ensure APIs adhere to enterprise architecture, security, and development standards.
- Develop reusable components, libraries, and frameworks to accelerate delivery.

Database Design Optimization
- Design and maintain PostgreSQL database schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Analyze and optimize complex SQL queries for performance and scalability.
- Monitor database performance and proactively address bottlenecks.
- Implement database partitioning, indexing strategies, and query tuning techniques.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability.

Data Migration Integration
- Design and develop migration scripts to move data from legacy systems to modern platforms.
- Perform data mapping, transformation, cleansing, and validation activities.
- Develop ETL processes and automation scripts for large-scale migration projects.




- Collaborate with business and data teams to ensure successful migration outcomes.
- Execute migration testing and reconciliation activities.

Performance Reliability
- Conduct performance profiling and optimization of APIs and database interactions.
- Implement caching, connection pooling, and other performance enhancement techniques.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in system capacity planning and reliability improvements.

DevOps Cloud Enablement
- Support CI/CD pipeline implementation and deployment automation.
- Work with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Deploy and support applications on cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability best practices.

Required Qualifications
- 6-9 years of experience in backend software development.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience with Spring Boot development.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL database design and optimization.
- Proven experience developing migration scripts and executing data migration projects.
- Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs in enterprise environments.
