Construction Supervisor (SPS - 33kV Switchgear Package)

Job Purpose The Construction Supervisor (SPS - 33kV) is responsible for supervising the installation,

testing, and construction activities related to 33kV Switchgear Packages (SPS), ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, HSE requirements, and project schedules. The role supports effective coordination between EPC contractors, suppliers,

commissioning teams, and construction management to achieve secure and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct daily site inspections of 33kV switchgear, protection panels, control systems, transformers, cables, and associated electrical installations.

Supervise contractor and subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project procedures.

Verify work front readiness, including availability of materials, approved documentation, permits, tools, equipment, and manpower.

Monitor installation activities for switchgear panels, bus ducts, control cabling,

power cabling, earthing, and associated auxiliary systems.

Ensure compliance with project quality requirements, technical specifications, and applicable electrical codes and standards.

Identify and report construction deficiencies and support NCR generation, follow-

up, and closure.

Manage punch list tracking and close-out activities during construction, testing,

and handover phases.

Verify construction interfaces between electrical, civil, mechanical, communication,





and commissioning disciplines.

Coordinate with engineering and vendor representatives to resolve technical queries and site issues.

Monitor progress against construction schedules and identify delays, constraints,

and recovery actions.

Witness inspections, installation checks, pre-commissioning activities, and testing of electrical systems.

Support Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) follow-up, Site Acceptance Test (SAT),

energization, and commissioning activities.

Ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements, permit-to-work systems,

lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards.

Prepare daily construction reports, inspection records, and progress updates.

Coordinate with project controls, quality, commissioning, and construction management teams to ensure successful project execution.

Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience 20+ years of experience in electrical construction and supervision.

Minimum 10 years of experience involving 33kV substations, switchgear systems,

or power plant electrical installations.

Experience in PMC, EPC, Utility, or Power Generation projects preferred.
