About the Role

Shivam Video is looking for a Cinematographer Intern who wants to learn cinematography through real-world event experiences.

As part of the team, you will get opportunities to attend corporate events, exhibitions, conferences, launches, award shows and large-scale productions, giving you exposure to different environments, lighting conditions, subjects and shooting styles.

You will work alongside experienced professionals and learn how to capture events in a way that feels dynamic, cinematic and natural.

What You’ll Learn & Work On

- Different camera angles, compositions and framing techniques
- Wide, medium, close-up and detail shots
- Creative moving shots using gimbals and other camera movements
- Tracking, push-in, pull-out and reveal shots
- Capturing stages, speakers, audiences, products and event details
- Shooting LED screens, lighting setups and large-scale visual installations
- Understanding how to shoot different types of events and spaces
- Working with different lenses, camera settings and frame rates
- Basics of exposure, focus, shutter speed, ISO and white balance
- Working with available and artificial lighting
- Planning shots according to the final video/edit requirements
- Understanding continuity and maintaining shot variety during live events
- Collaborating with directors, editors, production and technical teams
- Organising and managing footage after shoots




- Developing visual storytelling and cinematic thinking

What We’re Looking For

- Basic understanding of cameras and cinematography
- Good visual sense and an interest in filmmaking
- Willingness to learn and experiment with different shooting styles
- Comfortable working at live events and production environments
- Ability to work flexible schedule when required for events
- Good attention to detail
- Responsible handling of camera and related equipment
- Basic video editing knowledge is a plus
- A portfolio, showreel or previous photography/videography work will be an advantage

Camera Requirement The company will not provide a camera for this internship. Candidates are required to bring and use their own camera for shoots. The candidate should have access to a suitable camera and basic camera accessories required for professional video shooting.
