Role Description: The Chartered Accountant will work full-time on-site from PedalStart’s Gurugram office, supporting both accelerator operations and portfolio companies. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing accounting and finance functions, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to startups and investment structures.

The role involves handling taxation (direct and indirect), managing audits, maintaining internal controls, and overseeing budgeting, cash-flow planning, and financial reporting for internal stakeholders and investors.

Accountant will also be responsible for all the compliance requirements of the AIF of the company, along with a team of CS and Accountant

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess a valid Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification with strong knowledge of Indian accounting standards and regulatory frameworks.
- Candidates should possess skills in core accounting and financial reporting, including general ledger management, preparation of balance sheets,



profit and loss statements, and cash-flow reports.
- Candidates should possess skills in taxation and compliance, including direct and indirect tax, GST, TDS, corporate filings, and coordination with auditors and regulatory authorities.
- Candidates should possess skills in financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring for startups and portfolio companies.
- Candidates should possess skills in internal controls and process design, including policy implementation, risk management, and establishing robust finance workflows for growing companies.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and Excel/financial modelling skills, along with attention to detail and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Relevant experience in startups, venture capital, private equity, or accelerator ecosystems will be beneficial, as will familiarity with cap tables

Qualifications

- Qualified Chartered Accountant – Mandatory
- 4-5 years of relevant experience in a VC firm, startup-focused law firm, or investment banking/transaction advisory
- Exposure to early-stage startup fundraises is a must

Working Days : 6 days (WFO) CTC : INR 14 - 20 LPA (Adaptable based on relevant experience)
