CAD Designer

Somnotech, a medical device start-up focused on developing innovative sleep and anesthesia devices, is looking for a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer to join our Product Development Team.

Interview Location: Vibgyor, B-Wing, Patlipada, Behind Ritu Nissan Showroom, Near Hiranandani Estate, Ghodbunder Road, Thane West – 400607

Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred

Qualification: Diploma in Engineering – Design or a relevant engineering/design discipline.

Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience, technical skills, and interview performance.

Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Designer who can support the design and development of innovative medical devices.

The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying 2D/3D CAD models, technical drawings, layouts, and product designs, while working closely with engineers and the product development team.

Key Responsibilities

- Create and modify 2D/3D CAD drawings and product designs.
- Develop accurate CAD models based on concepts, specifications, and design requirements.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings, layouts, and design documentation.
- Support the design and development of sleep and anesthesia medical devices.
- Collaborate with engineers and the product development team to improve product designs.
- Modify designs based on prototype testing, feedback, and manufacturing requirements.




- Ensure drawings meet required dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing specifications.
- Maintain accurate design files, drawings, and revision records.
- Support prototyping, testing, and product development activities.
- Assist in developing designs that are practical, manufacturable, and user-focused.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD design software
- Understanding of mechanical and product design principles
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and manufacturing requirements
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good problem-solving and design skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Good communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced start-up environment

Preferred Candidate Candidates with experience in product design, mechanical design, CAD drafting, medical devices, manufacturing, or prototyping will be preferred.

Candidates with solid CAD skills and relevant Diploma qualifications are encouraged to apply.
