Job Summary

Tech Solar is looking for a Business Development Executive with experience in Rooftop Solar, Solar EPC, C&I; Solar or Renewable Energy. The role involves developing business opportunities across Maharashtra, identifying commercial and industrial customers, understanding their energy requirements, generating qualified opportunities and converting them into confirmed business.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop rooftop solar opportunities across Maharashtra.
- Generate business from commercial and industrial (C&I;) customers.
- Identify companies, factories, warehouses, offices, institutions and other suitable customers for rooftop solar solutions.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers, facility heads, purchase teams, promoters and management.
- Understand customer electricity consumption, requirements and project potential.
- Coordinate with technical teams for site surveys, feasibility studies and system sizing.
- Support preparation of techno-commercial proposals, quotations and project presentations.
- Handle client meetings, negotiations, follow-ups and commercial discussions.
- Drive opportunities from initial discussion through proposal, LOI/order and project closure.
- Coordinate with internal teams for project execution, documentation and customer handover.
- Maintain an updated sales pipeline and provide regular business development reports.
- Identify current market opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Achieve assigned business development and revenue targets.

Required Skills





- Experience in Rooftop Solar, Solar EPC, C&I; Solar, Renewable Energy or related business development.
- Basic understanding of rooftop solar systems and solar project economics.
- Good understanding of commercial and industrial customer requirements.
- Strong sales, business development and client acquisition skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
- Strong follow-up and relationship management skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel across Maharashtra for client meetings.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, CRM and sales reporting.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Candidates with experience in Rooftop Solar EPC, C&I; Solar, Solar Sales, Renewable Energy Business Development, Energy Solutions, Electrical Sales or related B2B technical sales will be preferred.

Candidates having an existing network among industrial, commercial, manufacturing, infrastructure or real-estate clients in Maharashtra will be an advantage.

Performance Incentive Structure

BD incentives will be linked to actual business generated and measurable commercial outcomes, including:

- Qualified business opportunities
- PPA / LOI conversion
- Confirmed orders
- Gross profit generated
- Successful collections

No incentive will be paid merely for generating or submitting leads.
