IT Staff Augmentation Business Development Executive

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and result-oriented IT Staff Augmentation Business Development Executive to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and acquiring new clients, understanding their IT staffing requirements, generating resource requirements for C2C and Full-Time placements, and managing the complete recruitment coordination cycle from requirement acquisition to interview scheduling and closure.
This role requires strong communication, relationship-building, follow-up, and coordination skills, along with a basic understanding of the IT Staffing and Staff Augmentation ecosystem.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and connect with potential clients, hiring managers, MSPs, staffing firms, and organizations with ongoing IT staffing requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with new and existing clients.
- Generate new IT staffing opportunities through cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn, networking, and other business development channels.
- Understand client requirements, including technology, experience, location, work authorization, rate, contract type, and hiring timelines.
- Generate requirements for C2C (Contract-to-Contract) or Full-Time positions.
- Maintain regular follow-ups with prospective clients and convert leads into active business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, client interactions, requirements, submissions, interviews, and closures.
Requirement Management & Candidate Coordination
- Collect and understand detailed job requirements from clients.
- Coordinate with internal recruiters and external vendor partners to source qualified IT professionals.
- Work closely with vendors to obtain suitable candidate profiles against active requirements.
- Review candidate profiles for basic alignment with client requirements before submission.
- Submit qualified profiles to clients within agreed timelines.
- Track candidate submissions and maintain regular follow-ups with clients for feedback.
Interview & Placement Coordination
- Coordinate interviews between clients and shortlisted candidates.
- Manage interview schedules, confirmations, and candidate availability.
- Follow up with clients and candidates regarding interview feedback and next steps.
- Coordinate the offer, onboarding, and joining process wherever applicable.
- Maintain regular communication with candidates, vendors, recruiters, and clients throughout the hiring cycle.
Vendor & Partner Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with IT staffing vendors and recruiting partners.
- Coordinate with vendors to fulfill client requirements within defined timelines.
- Negotiate candidate rates and commercial terms, where applicable.
- Maintain a reliable vendor network across multiple IT skill sets and technologies.
- Ensure timely communication and documentation between vendors and the internal team.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new clients and business accounts acquired.
- Number of active client requirements generated.
- Number of qualified profiles submitted.
- Profile-to-interview conversion ratio.
- Interview-to-placement conversion ratio.
- Revenue and gross margin generated from staffing engagements.
- Client retention and repeat requirements.
- Vendor response rate and fulfillment efficiency.
- Timely closure of assigned requirements.
Required Skills

- Ability to work with multiple clients, vendors, and requirements simultaneously.
- Basic understanding of IT roles, technologies, and staffing terminology.

- Proficiency in MS Office / Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of LinkedIn, job portals, CRM, or staffing platforms is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, IT, HR, or a related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in Business Development, IT Staffing, Recruitment, Sales, Talent Acquisition, or Staff Augmentation.
- Freshers with strong communication, sales aptitude, and willingness to work in IT Staffing may also be considered.
