Business Analyst Insurance Domain

:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with strong Insurance domain expertise to bridge the gap between business requirements and technology solutions. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, underwriting and claims teams, IT teams, and vendors to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and deliver effective insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Analysis

- Gather, analyze, validate, and document business requirements from stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and User Stories.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, requirement-gathering workshops, and requirement walkthroughs.
- Identify dependencies, assumptions, risks, and business impacts associated with requirements.

Insurance Domain Expertise

- Strong understanding of various insurance lines, including:

- Life Insurance

- Health Insurance
- General Insurance / Property & Casualty (P&C;)
- Strong understanding of core insurance processes:

- Policy Administration

- Underwriting

- Claims Management
- Billing & Payments

- Policy Renewal

- Endorsements
- Understand the complete insurance lifecycle from policy issuance underwriting billing claims renewal.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of insurance terminology such as premium, policy,



coverage, deductible, underwriting, endorsements, claims, renewals, and policy administration.
- Understand applicable regulatory, compliance, and governance requirements within the insurance domain.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven experience as a Business Analyst with strong Insurance domain knowledge.
- Strong understanding of Life, Health, and/or General Insurance (P&C;).
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
- Strong experience preparing BRD, FRD, User Stories, Use Cases, and Process Flows.
- Experience with gap analysis, impact analysis, process mapping, and workflow analysis.
- Valuable understanding of Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Billing & Payments, and Renewals.
- Experience supporting UAT, test case creation, and business validation.
- Strong communication, analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
- Understanding of insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.

Preferred Skills

- Experience working on insurance transformation, digitalization, or core insurance platform projects.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar requirements/process management tools.
- Experience in data analysis and business reporting.
- Exposure to insurance applications, policy administration systems, claims platforms, or billing systems.
