Tata Electronics Private Limited is a greenfield venture of the Tata Group with expertise in manufacturing precision components.
Tata Electronics (a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons Pvt. Ltd.) is building India’s first AI-enabled state-of-the-art Semiconductor Foundry. This facility will produce chips for applications such as power management IC, display drivers, microcontrollers (MCU) and high-performance computing logic, addressing the growing demand in markets such as automotive, computing and data storage, wireless communications and artificial intelligence.

Role Overview
Responsible for designing, programming, integrating, commissioning, and troubleshooting industrial robotic systems in automated manufacturing environments. Collaborates with automation, PLC, vision, and production teams to deliver reliable, high-performance robotic solutions that improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robotic automation solutions for manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Program, configure, test, and troubleshoot industrial robots to meet production requirements.
- Work with 6-axis articulated and SCARA robots from manufacturers such as FANUC, ABB, Omron, Epson, and others.
- Install, commission, validate, and optimize robotic cells from concept through production launch.
- Integrate robotic systems with PLCs, machine vision systems,
sensors, and peripheral equipment.
- Perform robot path optimization, cycle time improvement, and process validation activities.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve robotic equipment issues to ensure maximum uptime.
- Support preventive maintenance, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards, machine safety requirements, and risk assessment procedures.
- Utilize simulation and offline programming tools for system design, validation, and optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones, quality targets, and production goals.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Hands-on experience in industrial robot programming, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of robotic automation, motion control, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with industrial communication protocols:
- PROFINET
- EtherNet/IP
- EtherCAT
- Modbus
- TCP/IP
- RS-232 Serial Communication
- Understanding of PLC integration, HMI systems, machine vision, and factory automation.
- Knowledge of robotic cell design, safety standards, and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proficiency in robot simulation and offline programming software.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in industrial robotics, automation, or manufacturing engineering preferred.
