– Audit Executive (Automobile Dealership)
Position: Audit Executive

Reports To: Internal Audit Manager / CFO / General Manager / Dealer Principal

- Job Purpose The Audit Executive is responsible for conducting internal audits of dealership operations, identifying financial and operational risks, verifying compliance with company and OEM policies, and recommending corrective actions to improve controls, profitability and process efficiency.
- Key Responsibilities
Financial & Accounting Audit
- Audit sales invoices, receipts, credit notes, discounts and cancellations.
- Verify cash, bank, UPI/card collections and daily deposits.
- Check purchase invoices, expenses, vendor payments and journal entries.
- Verify accounts receivable, outstanding balances and customer advances.
- Review bank reconciliations and cash transactions.
- Identify accounting errors, irregularities and control weaknesses.
Vehicle Sales Audit
- Verify vehicle bookings, invoices, cancellations and refunds.
- Reconcile vehicle stock with physical inventory and DMS records.
- Check discounts, schemes, incentives and special approvals.
- Verify exchange vehicle documentation and valuation.
- Audit finance, insurance, accessories and other value-added product transactions.
- Check delivery documents and registration-related records.
Service & Parts Audit
- Audit job cards, estimates, invoices and customer payments.
- Verify warranty claims and OEM reimbursement documentation.
- Check service discounts and free-service claims.
- Conduct physical verification of spare-parts inventory.
- Review parts issues, returns, purchases and obsolete stock.
- Identify leakage, misuse and process deviations.
Inventory Audit
- Conduct periodic physical verification of:
- New vehicles
- Demo/test-drive vehicles
- Used vehicles
- Spare parts
- Accessories
- Consumables
- Reconcile physical stock with DMS/ERP records.
- Investigate stock differences and ageing inventory.
- Monitor vehicle and parts stock movement.
Compliance & Process Audit
- Ensure dealership processes comply with company policies and OEM guidelines.
- Verify approval matrices and delegated authority.
- Check statutory and regulatory documentation as applicable.
- Review segregation of duties and internal controls.
- Identify potential fraud, financial leakage and operational risks.
3. Audit Reporting
- Prepare audit reports highlighting observations, risks and financial impact.
- Classify findings according to severity and business impact.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Discuss audit findings with department heads.
- Track closure of audit observations.
- Conduct follow-up audits to verify implementation of corrective actions.
- Maintain proper audit working papers and supporting documentation.
4. Fraud & Risk Control
- Identify unusual transactions and suspicious activities.
- Investigate cash, stock, billing and documentation irregularities.
- Review transactions for duplicate payments, unauthorised discounts and incorrect postings.
- Escalate suspected fraud or serious control violations to management.
- Recommend measures to prevent recurrence.

6. Qualification & Experience
- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter / MBA Finance or equivalent.
- 2–5 years of audit, accounts, finance or internal-control experience preferred.
- Automobile dealership experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls and audit procedures.
- Experience with DMS/ERP systems is preferred.

8. Ideal Candidate Profile A detail-oriented audit professional who can independently review Sales, Service, Parts, Finance, Accounts, Inventory and dealership operations, identify financial leakages and process gaps, and ensure timely corrective action. The candidate should have a strong control mindset and the ability to work objectively with dealership management and operational teams.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
