1. Job Purpose
We are looking for a results-driven Hospital Network professional to build, expand, and manage a robust network of empanelled hospitals across India and select international geographies. The role holder will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and onboarding hospitals for cashless/ tie-up arrangements, ensuring adequate geographic coverage, competitive tariffs, and solid service-quality standards to support the organization's health insurance, TPA, medical value travel, or health-tech business objectives.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Pan-India Hospital Network Development
- Design and execute a nationwide hospital network expansion strategy covering metro, tier 1/2/3 cities, and underserved regions.
- Identify, evaluate, and empanel multi-specialty, super-specialty, and single-specialty hospitals for cashless/direct billing arrangements.
- Negotiate commercial terms, tariffs, package rates, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with hospitals to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with hospital management, TPA desks, and key decision-makers.
- Track network adequacy against business/regulatory requirements (e.g., IRDAI network norms) and close coverage gaps proactively.
- Coordinate with medical/claims teams to resolve hospital escalations, billing disputes, and service-quality issues.
- Conduct periodic hospital audits/visits to assess infrastructure, quality standards, and compliance with empanelment norms.
- Maintain and regularly update the hospital network database, MIS, and contract repository.
B. International Hospital Network Development
- Research and identify potential international hospital partners in target countries/regions (e.g., GCC, SAARC, Southeast Asia, Africa,
or as defined by business strategy).
- Develop partnership and cashless/referral arrangements with international hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare facilitators.
- Negotiate international tariffs, currency terms, and service agreements while ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Liaise with international medical value travel facilitators, embassies, and healthcare consultants to strengthen cross-border patient referral pathways.
- Represent the organization at international healthcare conferences, exhibitions, and B2B networking events to generate partnership opportunities.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to structure contracts suited to cross-border healthcare regulations.
C. Strategic & Operational
- Develop and monitor annual network expansion targets, budgets, and empanelment plans.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, claims, and medical teams to align network strategy with overall business goals.
- Benchmark hospital tariffs and network quality against competitors/industry standards.
- Prepare periodic reports and dashboards on network growth, cost savings, and hospital performance for leadership review.
- Drive digitization of empanelment and contracting processes for efficiency and transparency.
3. Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong negotiation and relationship-management skills with hospital administrators and healthcare leaders.
- Sound understanding of hospital operations,
tariff structures, and health insurance/TPA processes.
- Knowledge of IRDAI guidelines and other applicable regulatory/compliance requirements (for domestic network).
- Familiarity with international healthcare systems, medical tourism norms, and cross-border payment/contracting practices.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in MS Excel/PowerPoint and network MIS/CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally.
4. Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Healthcare Management, Hospital Administration, Business Administration, or related field (MBA/MHA preferred).
- 8–15 years of relevant experience in hospital network management, provider relations, TPA operations, health insurance, or medical value travel, with demonstrated exposure to international partnerships being an advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully building or scaling a hospital network.
5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Number of new hospitals empanelled (Pan-India and International) against targets.
- Network adequacy / geographic coverage ratio.
- Average tariff negotiated vs. benchmark / cost savings achieved.
- Turnaround time for hospital empanelment and contract renewals.
- Hospital satisfaction and service-quality scores.
- Resolution time for hospital escalations and disputes.
6. Compensation & Other Details
- As per industry standards, commensurate with experience.
- Travel allowance and other benefits as per company policy.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
