Controvia AI is an early-stage enterprise software startup helping large organisations automatically audit 100% of employee expense claims using AI.

Our platform identifies fraud, policy violations and financial leakages while dramatically reducing the effort involved in manual audits.

Enterprise customers have complex policies, workflows, systems and audit requirements. Turning that complexity into a product that is powerful but intuitive creates fascinating product challenges.

We’re looking for an Associate Product Manager to help us solve them.

The Role

You’ll work closely with the founder, Product Manager, engineering team and enterprise customers to help develop Controvia’s product.

This is a hands-on early-stage product role.

You’ll speak with users, understand workflows, analyse requirements, help define features, coordinate with engineers, test releases and learn how real enterprise software products are built.

We’re particularly interested in candidates who want to build a long-term career in product management.

Responsibilities

Product Discovery· Participate in conversations with customers and users.

· Understand finance and expense-audit workflows.

· Analyse customer requirements and recurring problems.

· Research competing products and emerging technologies.

· Help identify opportunities to improve the product.

Product Definition· Translate customer needs into clear product requirements.

· Help write user stories and acceptance criteria.

· Document workflows and expected product behaviour.

· Work closely with engineering to clarify requirements.

· Support feature design and prioritisation.

Product Delivery· Coordinate with engineering during development.

· Test new functionality before release.

· Track bugs and product issues.





· Support release planning and documentation.

· Ensure delivered functionality addresses the original customer problem.

Product Learning· Gather structured feedback from users.

· Analyse how customers use different capabilities.

· Identify recurring requests across customers.

· Help maintain and prioritise the product backlog.

What We’re Looking For

Essential· 1–3 years of professional experience.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.

· Excellent communication.

· Ability to understand complex workflows.

· Comfortable working with technical teams.

· Curious about how software products are designed and built.

· Genuine interest in AI and product management.

· Become comfortable working directly with engineering.

· Contribute meaningfully to product prioritisation.

· Develop the skills required to progress toward a Product Manager role.
