Role & responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The day-to-day responsibilities for an assistant marketing engineer in the aftermarket department are as follows:

1. Offer expert advice and support to external Sales Representatives, facilitating their success in the field.
2. Conduct detailed reviews of Bill of Materials (BOM), manufacturing drawings, and part specification documents to determine the correct replacement components needed for projects.
3. Analyze customer requests for quotes, and prepare and disseminate accurate quotations to representatives, end-users, and intercompany customers for spare parts.
4. Verify that customer-ordered parts meet the application's requirements to ensure compatibility and performance.
5. Process customer purchase orders by reviewing, approving, and entering them into the Pilot order management system.
6. Regular tracking of order production status in the Pilot order management system to ensure that orders are delivered on time.
7. Update the handled quotes/orders in the databases and generate a weekly report for facilitating project management.
8. Produce and dispatch order confirmations to customers, maintaining clear and professional communication.
9. Engage with Sales Representatives to guarantee seamless operations from order finalization to the shipment of products.
10. Handle change orders within the order management system, coordinating with operations and production engineering teams to implement required modifications.
11. Oversee the development and maintenance of parts list databases to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
12. Continuously assess market feedback to update and maintain a competitive product catalog.
13. Conduct on-site customer visits when necessary, obtaining field measurements for component replication and equipment specification.
14. Facilitate collaboration with global Company sales, marketing, product development, and operations teams to align strategies and initiatives.
15. Investigate parts warranty issues in conjunction with the Quality Control team, customers, and representatives, executing quality assurance reviews within the Quality Management System (QMS).
16. Identify and document non-conformity incidents, submitting comprehensive reports within the QMS to uphold quality standards and compliance.
17. Establish and adjust base gross margin values for different product categories, tracking sales to safeguard margin targets.
18. Contribute to the formulation and achievement of departmental success targets.




19. Continuously evaluate existing procedures and practices to enhance efficiency and achieve cost reductions.
20. Generate and distribute key marketing and strategic communications, including Replacement Sales Flashes.
21. Represent the company at industry events, engaging in frontline sales activities.
22. Actively engage in relevant industry events as necessitated by the companys interests.
23. Promote and uphold stringent safety protocols within the workplace.
24. Persistently pursue cost containment and reduction strategies.
25. Foster a constructive and optimistic work environment, contributing to team morale and productivity.
26. Give product and company overview presentations when required.
27. Host Representatives, Customers, and Guests at Company's manufacturing facilities as requested.
28. Provide back-up coverage for Marketing Engineer during absence to ensure prompt customer support.

Offer support and advice to external Sales Representatives and aid with order entry and product selection using Company's Spectrum software. Review technical specifications from customers and optimize equipment layouts for projects, ensuring adherence to Company guidelines and full performance to required thermal capacity.

Analyze customer product selections and suggest alternative models to enhance layout, energy efficiency, pricing, and compliance with local standards.

Provide product and technical training, as well as Spectrum software training to assigned Representatives

Review, approve, and ensure all supporting order documentation is collected and uploaded to Company's Pilot order management system.

Approve submittal documentation for accuracy, manage change orders, and alert operations and production engineering of required changes.

Tracking order fulfillment and alerting logistics department for timely shipment.

1. Execute additional responsibilities and undertake projects aligned with the companys ethos, as directed by Management.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: To excel as an Assistant Marketing Engineer, a combination of technical savvy, real-world experience,



and interpersonal skills is essential. An engineering degree lays the technical groundwork, while experience in customer-centric roles enhances understanding of market dynamics. Key abilities include attention to detail, effective communication, leadership, and time management, enabling efficient problem-solving and project execution.

Proficiency in English and the flexibility to travel are also vital for engaging with a global clientele. These skills are central to fostering innovation, driving sales, and securing the company's competitive edge. Therefore, a Marketing Engineer at Company must possess the following qualifications, skills and attributes:

1. Educational Background: Possession of a university degree in an engineering discipline, such as HVAC, Mechanical Engineering, Power Engineering, or Environmental Engineering, is mandatory.
2. Professional Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in mechanical work, equipment sales, or roles that involve direct interaction with customers.
