We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Manager - Design to lead and support the design activities of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) Panel Manufacturing projects. The candidate should possess strong technical expertise in electrical panel design, sheet metal design, engineering documentation, customer interactions, and cross-functional team coordination. The role requires proficiency in design software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design Responsibilities

- Design and develop LV and MV switchgear/panel assemblies as per customer specifications and industry standards.
- Review GA Drawings, Fabrication Drawings, Assembly Drawings, Busbar Layouts, and BOMs.
- Develop and review panel layouts considering functionality, manufacturability, safety, and cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as IEC, IS, and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate with electrical and mechanical engineering teams for design validation and execution.
- Support prototype development and design improvements for existing products.

Sheet Metal Material Management

- Possess solid knowledge of sheet metal design, fabrication processes, bending calculations, welding, and manufacturing constraints.
- Select appropriate materials and components for panel manufacturing.
- Optimize material utilization to reduce manufacturing costs and improve productivity.

Customer Project Management

- Understand customer requirements and provide technical solutions.




- Participate in technical discussions and design review meetings with customers.
- Resolve customer queries related to design, engineering modifications, and project execution.
- Ensure timely submission of drawings and engineering documentation.

Cross-Functional Coordination

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Planning, Sales, and Project teams.
- Support manufacturing during assembly and commissioning stages.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and engineering change management processes.

Team Leadership

- Guide and mentor design engineers and draftsmen.
- Monitor team performance and ensure project timelines are achieved.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven work environment.

- Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in LV MV panel design and engineering.
- Experience in switchgear, power control centers (PCC), motor control centers (MCC), distribution boards, and MV panels.
- Prior experience in handling customer projects and team coordination is preferred

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Relevant experience in LV MV Panel Manufacturing Industry.
