We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Chartered Accountant to lead our finance operations and ensure robust financial governance across our manufacturing, retail, and export divisions. /n POSITION OVERVIEW /n We are looking for a Chartered Accountant (CA) — or a candidate who has attempted the CA final examinations — with 7+ years of relevant post-qualification (or equivalent) experience to join our Finance Department as an Assistant Manager. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in statutory compliance, audit, taxation, and financial reporting, with a solid understanding of the regulatory landscape governing the gems and jewellery sector in India. /n KEY RESPONSIBILITIES /n 1.
Statutory
Compliance & Audit /n /n
- Lead and coordinate statutory audits, ensuring timely completion and strict adherence to auditing standards.
/n
- Prepare and review statutory financial statements and related disclosures in compliance with Ind AS / Indian GAAP.
/n
- Manage all regulatory filings, including ROC compliance, MCA filings, and other statutory obligations.
/n
- Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
/n
- Ensure compliance with Income Tax, GST, TDS, and other applicable tax laws; oversee preparation and filing of tax returns.

Financial
Reporting & Controls /n /n
- Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements.
/n
- Prepare management accounts with detailed variance analysis and performance commentary for senior leadership.
/n
- Maintain robust internal financial controls and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
/n
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
/n
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning cycles.
/n /n 3. Treasury & Operations /n /n
- Monitor working capital and cash flow requirements specific to jewellery manufacturing and trading operations.
/n
- Oversee inventory valuation and reconciliation, including precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones.
/n
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations applicable to the gems and jewellery sector (e.g., FEMA, export obligations).
/n
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions for fund-based and non-fund-based facilities.
/n
- Manage bullion and precious stone procurement financing and hedging strategies, where applicable.
/n /n 4. Team Leadership & Process Improvement /n /n
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior accounting staff.
/n
- Drive process improvements and automation initiatives within the finance function.
/n
- Develop and maintain comprehensive finance policies, SOPs, and process documentation.
/n
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, mergers, acquisitions, or restructuring.
/n /n REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS /n Education /n Chartered Accountant (CA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
/n Experience /n 7+ years of post-qualification experience in compliance, statutory audit, and financial reporting /n Industry Exposure /n Experience in manufacturing, retail, or gems & jewellery sector preferred /n Technical Skills /n Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Indian GAAP, Income Tax, GST, and TDS provisions; working knowledge of commodity hedging for gold and silver, including forward and futures contracts /n Audit Experience /n Proven track record of managing statutory audits and liaising with external auditors /n Software Proficiency /n Advanced MS Excel;
experience with Tally ERP / SAP / Oracle or similar ERP systems /n Soft Skills /n Excellent analytical abilities, attention to detail, and strong written & verbal communication /n Leadership /n Experience in team supervision and mentoring junior staff /n PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS /n /n
- In-depth knowledge of commodity hedging strategies for gold, silver, and other precious metals, including forward contracts and futures-based price risk management
/n
- Experience in financial consolidation and handling group company structures
/n
- Familiarity with SEZ/EOU operations and export-oriented business compliance
/n
- Knowledge of valuation methodologies for precious metals, diamonds, and gemstones
/n
- Exposure to cost accounting and transfer pricing regulations
/n
- Experience with RBI's Gold Monetisation Scheme or related jewellery sector schemes
/n
- Knowledge of hallmarking regulations and BIS compliance for jewellery.
