Roles & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
● Conduct scheduled, surprise, and cycle stock audits across retail stores and warehouses as per the audit calendar.
● Verify physical inventory against system records and identify stock discrepancies, shortages, or excesses.
● Monitor inventory shrinkage, pilferage, stock losses, and operational leakages while ensuring timely corrective actions.
● Ensure compliance with inventory management SOPs and operational processes across all stores.
● Audit inward and outward stock movements, ensuring documentation and system entries are accurate.
● Prepare detailed audit reports highlighting observations, root causes, risks, and actionable recommendations.
● Coordinate with store teams to investigate discrepancies and support timely recovery of stock shortages.
● Identify damaged, defective, expired, or non-saleable inventory and oversee the Return to Warehouse (RTW) process.
● Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and loss prevention.
● Monitor inventory health metrics and maintain high stock accuracy standards across all retail locations.
● Collaborate closely with Operations, Warehouse, and Store teams to strengthen inventory controls and ensure audit compliance.
Ideal Candidate
Robust Inventory Audit / Retail Audit Profile with a D2C Retail / FMCG / Lifestyle brand background
- Mandatory (Experience 1): Must have 2+ years of experience in Inventory Audit, Retail Audit, Stock Control, or Loss Prevention within a D2C Retail, FMCG, or Lifestyle brand environment.
- Mandatory (Experience 2): Must have hands-on experience conducting scheduled, surprise,
and cycle stock audits across retail stores and warehouses.
- Mandatory (Experience 3): Must have experience verifying physical inventory against system records and identifying discrepancies, shortages, or excesses.
- Mandatory (Experience 4): Must have experience monitoring inventory shrinkage, pilferage, stock losses, and operational leakages, and driving corrective actions.
- Mandatory (Experience 5): Must have experience auditing inward/outward stock movements and ensuring accurate documentation and system entries.
- Mandatory (Experience 6): Must have experience preparing detailed audit reports covering observations, root causes, risks, and actionable recommendations.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 1): Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting, and inventory analysis.
- Mandatory (Tech skill 2): Must have a good understanding of inventory management systems and audit processes, and compliance with inventory SOPs
- Mandatory (Skill): Must have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with high attention to detail, integrity, and ownership.
- Mandatory (Communication): Must be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional and on-floor teams.
- Mandatory (Note): Must be willing to travel extensively (15–20 days per month) across store locations and comfortable conducting early morning, late evening, and night audits whenever required.
- Preferred (Education): Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related discipline.
Pay: From ₹100,000.00 per month
