AGM - Automation Lead Role Automation Lead - Database Specialist Job Level/ Designation M2/AGM Function / Department SNOC/APM Location Pune/Hyderabad Job Purpose To architect and maintain a high-availability PostgreSQL setting using the Patroni stack. Responsible for ensuring uptime, seamless automated failovers, and the overall health of distributed database clusters across multiple data centers, design of databases and performance enhancements.

Areas/Accountabilities 6 years of core PostgreSQL administration and database engineering in high-traffic production environments.

HA Stack: Expertise in Patroni, Etcd, and PgBouncer, pgPool for connection pooling, replication and routing. Network & Routing: Hands-on experience with HAProxy and Keepalived for database traffic management. Programming & Automation: Strong proficiency in Python for building automation tools and custom adapters.

Infrastructure:



Advanced knowledge of Linux/RHEL systems and experience with containerized PostgreSQL (Docker/Kubernetes).

Database Internals: Deep understanding of SQL optimization, PL/SQL, and PostgreSQL internals (WAL, buffers, locking).

DevOps Tools: Proficiency with Ansible, Terraform, Kafka, and Airflow for managing data pipelines and infrastructure. Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience 7 years of experience Hands-on experience on PostgreSQL, Patroni, HAProxy, ETCD/DCS, PostgreSQL extensions, PGbouncer, Database design and Python Telecom domain knowledge is an added advantage Must have technical / professional qualifications BE, B.Tech in Computer Science or IT or relevant field Experience Level Senior Level
