Area Sales Manager

Location- Indore

Role Overview

Will lead sales operations for Madhya Pradesh. The role involves driving revenue growth, managing distributor and channel networks, leading a regional sales team, and expanding market presence in both urban and semi-urban markets.

Key Responsibilities

~ Sales & Revenue Growth

Achieve and exceed sales targets

Develop and execute state-wise and territory-level sales strategies

Drive primary and secondary sales through distributors, dealers, and channel partners

Identify recent business opportunities, key accounts, and untapped markets

~ Team Leadership

Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers / Sales Officers

Set targets, monitor performance, and conduct regular reviews

- Coach and train the team to improve productivity and sales effectiveness

~ Channel & Distributor Management

Appoint, manage, and strengthen distributor and dealer networks

Ensure effective stock management, credit control, and collections

- Improve market coverage, visibility, and product availability

~ Market & Strategy

Analyze market trends,



competitor activity, and customer insights

Plan and execute promotions, schemes, and trade marketing activities

- Coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams

~ Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate sales forecasts and MIS reporting

Ensure CRM and reporting discipline

- Adhere to company policies and compliance standards

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field

Candidates must have prior experience in FMCG Industries only

8+ years of sales experience with at least 4-5 years in a managerial role

Strong experience handling MP markets

Proven success in distributor-led or channel sales models

Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills

Willingness to travel extensively
