Nirman Academy is a professional design education institution focused on developing industry-ready architects, interior designers, and design professionals through practical, technology-driven learning.

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Architect / Interior Designer to join our academic team at our Calicut campus as a Teaching Faculty member.

Job Role The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in architectural and interior design-related subjects, while connecting academic learning with real-world professional practice.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct engaging and practical classes in Architecture / Interior Design.
- Guide students through design projects, studio work, assignments, and presentations.
- Teach and demonstrate architectural drawing, planning, design development, and documentation.
- Provide practical guidance on real-world architectural and interior design workflows.
- Mentor students in developing their design thinking, creativity, and professional skills.
- Conduct project reviews, juries, assessments, and student presentations.
- Introduce students to current industry practices, standards, materials, and technologies.
- Support students in developing professional portfolios and project documentation.
- Maintain academic records, lesson plans, attendance, and assessment reports.
- Participate in workshops, seminars, exhibitions, student activities, and academy events.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to improve the overall learning experience.

Preferred Skills




- Strong knowledge of architectural and/or interior design principles.
- Good understanding of planning, design development, working drawings, and documentation.
- Proficiency in relevant design software such as:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Revit / BIM
- Lumion / Enscape
- Photoshop / Illustrator
- Other relevant design and visualization tools
- Good presentation and communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students.
- Strong mentoring and student-management skills.
- Practical industry exposure will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of BIM, 3D visualization, AI tools, or emerging design technologies will be an added advantage.

Eligibility
- B.Arch / M.Arch / B.Des / M.Des / Interior Design or related qualification.
- Relevant professional experience in Architecture / Interior Design.
- Minimum 2 years of industry experience preferred.
- Previous teaching or training experience will be an advantage.
- Fresh graduates with exceptional design skills and strong communication may also be considered for suitable roles.
