Role Summary
We are looking for a Fraud Scoring / Fraud Modelling Operations professional with hands-on experience in Hunter , strong SQL and data-processing skills, and practical exposure to fraud scoring models, score performance analysis, catch-rate analysis, segmentation, and score cut-off evaluation.
Hands-on Hunter experience is mandatory. The ideal candidate should have worked directly with fraud detection/scoring models , including executing, validating, analysing, or supporting fraud scoring models in a production or client-delivery environment.
This role is not intended for candidates whose experience is primarily in KYC, AML, customer due diligence, transaction monitoring, or compliance operations without hands-on fraud scoring/modelling exposure. Students/ freshers please do not apply.

Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Preparation
- Extract Hunter Consumer Reports from internal systems based on client requirements.
- Validate extracted Hunter data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Clean, transform, and prepare datasets for Hunter scoring, fraud modelling, and downstream processing.
- Perform data quality checks and reconciliation before scoring/model execution.
- Maintain documentation of extraction logic, data-processing steps, model execution procedures, and operational processes.
Hunter Score Execution
- Execute Hunter fraud score codes/models on client datasets.
- Apply and validate Hunter fraud scoring models against expected results.
- Validate model/scoring inputs, outputs, score distributions, and exception results.
- Troubleshoot issues related to data quality, input files, scoring/model execution, or output results.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in Hunter score outputs.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of Hunter-scored datasets.
- Follow established processes and controls for Hunter score/model execution.
Client Delivery & Operations
- Track client requests and delivery commitments across data extraction, processing, fraud scoring,
and model execution activities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure prompt turnaround of client requirements.
- Maintain operational status trackers and proactively communicate progress, risks, or delays.
- Ensure adherence to operational SLAs and quality standards.
- Support multiple client requests simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and delivery timelines.
Hunter Score Analysis & Decision Support
- Conduct population analysis to understand Hunter score distributions and fraud risk patterns.
- Perform Hunter catch-rate analysis to evaluate fraud scoring/model performance.
- Analyse score bands, segments, and population characteristics to identify trends and patterns.
- Perform score segmentation and cut-off analysis to support fraud risk decisioning.
- Evaluate model/scoring outcomes against business objectives and identify potential performance issues.
- Recommend appropriate Hunter score cut-offs based on analysis, fraud risk objectives, and observed performance.
- Prepare concise summaries, reports, and visualizations to communicate observations from Hunter score/model results.
- Support investigation of score/model performance anomalies and data-related drivers of scoring outcomes.
Process Excellence
- Identify opportunities to improve Hunter data-processing, fraud scoring, and model execution efficiency.
- Support automation initiatives related to data preparation, validation, scoring, and fraud model execution.
- Support process documentation and standardization.
- Identify recurring data or scoring issues and recommend process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with data governance and information security requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• 1–4 years of professional experience in fraud operations, fraud scoring, fraud analytics, fraud modelling, credit risk, risk analytics, risk operations, or related quantitative roles .
- Hands-on experience with Hunter is mandatory.
• Hands-on exposure to fraud detection/scoring models or fraud risk decisioning is mandatory.
- Experience working with large customer, application, account, or transaction datasets.
- Experience performing data extraction, cleansing, validation, reconciliation, and analysis.
• Practical understanding of fraud scoring, fraud risk models, score-based decisioning, score performance, and model/scoring outputs .
• Candidates with experience limited primarily to KYC, AML, customer due diligence, enhanced due diligence, or compliance operations should not be considered unless they also have substantial hands-on fraud scoring/modelling experience.
Required Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and manipulation.
- Hands-on experience using SQL queries involving JOIN, WHERE, GROUP BY, aggregate functions, filtering, and data validation.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Working knowledge of Python, SAS, or R for data processing/analysis is desirable.
- Understanding of data cleaning, validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Familiarity with relational databases and structured datasets.
Hunter & Scoring Skills
- Hands-on experience working with Hunter is mandatory.
- Experience executing, applying, validating, or troubleshooting Hunter fraud score codes/models.
• Practical understanding of fraud scoring and fraud detection models , including model/scoring inputs and outputs.
- Experience analysing Hunter score distributions and score bands.
• Experience performing Hunter catch-rate analysis or equivalent fraud scoring performance analysis.
• Experience with Hunter score segmentation and score cut-off analysis .
- Ability to identify data, scoring, or model-related issues and troubleshoot discrepancies in Hunter outputs.
- Ability to analyse fraud scoring results and identify trends, patterns, anomalies, or performance issues.
- Strong attention to detail when working with scoring/model data and client deliverables.
- Candidates with only KYC/AML/due-diligence experience and no hands-on fraud scoring/modelling exposure should not be shortlisted.
